Dutch government and Open Formats

THE DUTCH COUNCIL OF STATE will let loose the software it uses to convert proprietary document formats created in MS Office into Open Source documents which follow the Open Document Format (ODF) protocol.

Apparently all disk encryption schemes have a fundamental weakness that allows a simple attack to recover the keys. There is nothing to DO about this yet, but I think awareness is important.
